In this pictures you can see a project recently completed in Santa Barbara on the Mesa neighborhood.
The project involved repainting more than 1,000 linear feet of Iron railings for the HOA Vista De Las Olas. The first thing done to the surface of the iron rails was to washed them with a solution part water and part chlorine. The chlorine wash help to clean the surface from salt deposits. After cleaning, the lose paint was scraped off and sanded down. Places were the iron had decay new iron was welded back. For the priming the rails were prime with a 2 part marine epoxy primer then top coated with two coats of a 2 part marine urethane. It was a big project with a lot of steps but it was well worth it. Applying a long lasting durable epoxy paint system to the rails, the HOA will get a good return on their investment by not having to repaint more frequently.
